Winter Art and Poetry

Mrs. Kennedy's Second Grade Super Stars are getting into the spirit of winter. First, each child created their own unique snowman for our bulletin board. Next, we brainstormed many winter sensory words and then wrote a winter sensory poem. After writing our rough drafts, we collaborated with Mrs. Pazdziorny at computers and incorporated technology into our winter poetry project. The students typed their poems and then picked a font of their choice to publish their writing. The final step was to add a picture or clip art to match the words in their poems. Please feel free to add a descriptive comment about winter of your own.

  1. I like to feel snowflakes tickling my face and melting onto my tongue. The winter cold makes my bones feel as though they are shaking...brrrr! I love the smell of hot chocolate waiting to warm me up after playing in the snow.
